Concussion Clinics of America
What we now know

It began in sports medicine. The courage and persistence of the medical community, as depicted in the movie “Concussion,” forced great progress in early concussion diagnosis and treatment. We are now able to see a patient immediately and provide a quick evaluation. Testing procedures performed on athletes for years have been developed and improved to the point that the healthcare community has great confidence in the ability to screen patients for even mild-to-moderate concussions.

Using what we know

We have taken what we have learned treating athletes and applied it to a much more pervasive type of trauma . . . auto accidents and falls. Imagine how many more auto collisions and falls occur every day compared to head injuries on playing fields! So much more can be done, and so easily, to ensure that victims of these traumas are properly diagnosed and treated for concussions

What we can do

It begins with a simple screening test administered by our office. It is non-invasive and can be administered by telehealth, if necessary.

The results are communicated within days. If the screening is positive, a prescription for specialized concussion therapy is written. If negative, success! If necessary, we will refer the patient to more advanced treatment methods.

When we do it

The sooner the better. Symptoms should not be allowed to linger. Here are the most common ones:

· Struck by vehicle airbag
· Headaches
· Dizziness or balance problems
· Nausea or vomiting
· Vision problems
· Fatigue
· Memory/concentration problems
· Anxiety/nervousness
· Insomnia

How we do it

The process is quick and easy. Simply fill out the referral form and sign the Letter of Protection provided on this site. Our clinic will contact the patient and conduct the initial screen. We will report the results to you and make the necessary treatment recommendations based on that screen.
